Cycle and other such bacteria-in-a-bottle products contain “enzymes” and other bacteria that "prime" the tank’s bio-filter, that is, they provide food for the nitrifying bacteria so they can grow and reproduce. These products don’t add the beneficial bacteria of cycling or of its’ final bio filter and are not recommended.
